As our local MP Lib Dem Peter Carroll will fight to get the best for all local schools and school chidren across our area.

Peter Carroll will work to build a better future for our children if elected to be our MP on Thursday. The Lib Dems will improve local nursery provision, cut class sizes and abolish tuition fees. They are also pledging to take real action to protect our environment.

Peter Carroll said, "We must build a better future for our youngsters. This means protecting our environment and making sure that every child has a chance to succeed regardless of wealth."

Lib Dem policies at this election have been described as the "greenest manifesto of the major parties" by the Director of Friends of the Earth.

Conservative cuts

Michael Howard's Tories want to take money away from local schools and use it to subsidise private schools instead. They also want to CUT funding from green watchdogs like the Environment Agency.

Peter Carroll said, "Local people face a clear choice - a Tory MP who will cut cash from schools and environmental protection; or a Lib Dem MP who will fight to get the best for our schools and environment."

Blair's broken promises

Peter will be a strong MP who will stand up to Tony Blair on the environment and education. He will fight to make local voices heard on these issues.

Peter said, "Labour has been a big disappointment on the environment and on education. Along with the war in Iraq, Tony Blair's broken promise on university tuition fees is one of the biggest reasons why he is no longer trusted by local people."
