Lib Dem campaigners are fighting to save two wards at the Royal Victoria Hospital

Peter Carroll is pledging to take the fight to save two wards at the Royal Victoria Hospital to Westminster if he becomes our new MP on Thursday.

Patients, staff and residents from across our area are backing Peter's campaign to save the wards. Peter said, "We should be looking to improve our local NHS. I will oppose any plans to downgrade our local hospital."

Residents have been disappointed with the performance of Tory MP Michael Howard on this issue. Mr Howard has failed to even attend either of the public meetings held in Folkestone on the issue.

Peter's first call at 9am on Friday as our MP will be to local health bosses to tell them that local people will not tolerate the closure of these wards.
