Darren Briddock and Sam Matthews: the Hardworking Choice for Hythe

The Conservatives in Hythe have suspended the membership of former Tory Councillor Martin Ross who is standing against his own Party in Hythe South in a by-election to Hythe Town Council tomorrow. Former Conservative Councillor Martin Ross has called for a motion of no confidence in the local Conservative Party Chairman.

There are by-elections to Hythe Town Council in both Hythe South and Hythe East wards on Thursday 21st July. Liberal Democrat candidates Darren Briddock in Hythe South and Sam Matthews in Hythe East are working for local people. Darren Briddock said:

"While the Conservatives fight amongst themselves, Sam and I will fight to get the best for local residents on the council."

In Hythe South the candidates are Darren Briddock, the official Tory candidate (who does not live in Hythe South) and the ex-Tory councillor standing as an Independent. In Hythe East the candidates are Sam Matthews and the Conservative candidate. Labour have again failed to stand a candidate in either election following their devastating result at the General Election.

The polls are open in Hythe South and Hythe East wards from 8am to 9pm tomorrow. If you are a voter in either ward and would like a lift to the polls, or can help the Lib Dem campaign on polling day, please call Shepway Lib Dems on 01303 851251.
