Two Park Ward Councillors Stepping Down

Two of Park ward's Shepway District Lib Dem Councillors will not be standing again when the local elections are held next May.
David Dickinson has represented Park for many years as a Councillor, and will continue to be active in the community in his many other roles.
John Hughes has just sold his house in Folkestone, and moved to Maidstone, and he will therefore be stepping down before May. In accordance with election law, there will not be a by-election to fill the vacancy left by John's move, as there is an election within six months.
Both David and John have made an enormous contribution to Park and Shepway and have helped many local residents.
Park ward is represented by three Lib Dem Councillors - David, John, and the Leader of the Lib Dem Group at Shepway, Cllr Lynne Beaumont. Lynne and David will continue to work hard for local residents, as they have done for the last three years.
