How Much are 26 Victoria Crosses Worth?

Victoria Cross and Ribbon In the two World Wars the Gurkha Brigade suffered 43,000 casualties, and to date it has won 26 Victoria Crosses - 13 by Gurkhas and 13 by British Officers.

1. A Gurkha Warrant Officer Class 2's monthly pension after 22 years in the British Army is £155.

2. A Non-Gurkha Warrant Officer Class 2's monthly pension after 22 years in the British Army is £949.

If you don't think that's fair, and that ex-Gurkha's should be paid a fair pension, there are two things you can do about it:

1. Sign the petition for a fair deal for Gurkhas at http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/gurkha/ and learn more about the campaign campaign for a fair deal for Gurkhas at www.gurkhajustice.org.uk.

2. Tell your friends, family and others about this campaign by posting more information and links about this campaign on your web site / blog or sending them an email.
