Cheriton Interchange: Temporary Speed Restriction

Kent County Council have advertised a 30mph speed restriction which will be put in force for around 8 weeks from 3rd September on Cheriton Interchange near junction 12 of the M20.
The order, dated 19 August, reads:
"NOTICE is hereby given that owing to the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are carried out on or near the highway, the Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting traffic travelling at any speed in excess of 30 miles per hour on the route described in the Schedule hereto.
"The Order will become effective on or after 3rd September 2007 for an estimated period of eight weeks or until such works are complete or for a period not exceeding 18 months at such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs.
"Schedule : B2064 Cheriton Interchange, Folkestone
"On the southerly approach to the roundabout, from the start of the existing National Speed Limit for a distance of 85 metres in a northerly direction."
