Consultation Announced on Cheriton Tesco Expansion Plan

Tesco has announced plans to extend it's store in Cheriton, Folkestone, and will will be launching an exhibition of the proposals in the store next month. The proposed expansion of the store would increase the current floor area from around 6,500 sq. metres with 401 car parking spaces to 10,200 sq. metres with 633 parking spaces.
Ahead of the exhibition, Tescotpf is inviting residents in the immediate area to a preview of the exhibition at Cheriton Primary School on the evening of 26th September.
Cheriton Councillor Tim Prater commented:
"Any resident interested in the proposed development of Tesco should go along and question Tesco's on their proposals. It's good to see an application being shown to the public before planning permission is sought. I hope the views of local residents from their exhibition and meetings are taken into account in any planning application by Tesco."
