Hythe Town Beat Dover in FA Cup Qualifier

Hythe Town Football Club celebrated a 2-1 win against Dover Athletic at Reachfields on Saturday. Ex-Mayor of Hythe Neil Matthews was at the match to cheer on Hythe and delighted with result and the boost to the town.

Neil said "This second round FA Cup qualifying round win was well deserved, will boost team spirit and spur them on to do just as well in the next round. Hythe were determined from the start, scoring the first goal in just a few minutes after kick-off. They played extremely well throughout - well done The Reds!"

The club's management coped very well with the extra spectators and cars, using Hythe's Green as the temporary car-park. Attendance was well over the thousand mark. The Town will be looking forward to knowing who will be the next club they take on. Will Hythe Town win the FA Cup - we can only hope?
