The Winter Wishes Folkestone Lantern Parade

Strange Cargo presents a Lantern Parade through Folkestone this Saturday, with children and schools from across Folkestone taking part. The parade, which has been supported by a £2,000 grant from Folkestone Town Council, is a fantastic display of the local community coming together at this festive period and producing a fabulous light display, if you have never experienced this before you really must it is well worth a look!
The parade starts at Sandgate Road Precinct at 5pm on Saturday 15th and ends at the Sunny Sands.
There is also a FREE PUBLIC LANTERN WORKSHOP that takes place at the Georges House Gallery (8 Old High Street, Folkestone) on both Friday 14th December 3 - 7pm and Saturday 15th December 10am - 2pm. . It is a family workshop suitable for all ages but children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
