Re-Open Sandgate Road or Fix it - Now!

One of the main approaches to Folkestone - Sandgate Road - has now been closed to traffic for weeks from the junction with Earls Avenue towards Folkestone. However, a walk down Sandgate Road shows there are is no work going on, no holes in the road, no plant or equipment - nothing.
The road is simply barricaded off, which is causing complete traffic chaos at key times and making it harder for shoppers to get to Folkestone Town Centre and the new Bouverie Square Shopping Centre.
It's simply not acceptable for the road to be left closed with no work going on. Either Kent County Council should get on and actually complete any works to the road, or they should re-open it - now.
Leaving it shut, harming local businesses and disrupting residents should simply not be an option.
