Kent, coal and climate change: A local issue going global

Image of a Coal Fired power stationThe World Development Movement is running a film & speaker evening as a part of the campaign against a new coal-fired power station in Kent. The public are invited to join local and national campaigners in the historic Fort Amherst for an evening of film, speakers and exhibits addressing local concerns about climate change and Kingsnorth coal-fired power station.

Films include:

  • Robert Redford narrating 'Fighting Goliath: Texas coal wars'
  • Archbishop Desmond Tutu sending a video message about climate change
  • Sean Furey, Deputy Director, CPRE - Kent highlighting the dramatic impacts of climate change on Kent
  • Plus, the premiere of WDM's 'Kingsnorth: A local issue going global'

The event details are:
