Folkestone's BIG Saturday: Raft Race, Harbour Festival & Charivari!

This Saturday 19th July) sees the Folkestone Raft Race & Harbour Festival from The Stade in Folkestone Harbour starting at 10am, with the Raft Race itself starting around midday. The reowned Charivari parade will take place in the afternoon with the procession starting at 2pm from the harbour.
This year's Charivari parade has the theme of World Carnival and will draw inspiration from the vibrant carnivals that take place across the globe. The procession will start in the harbour, travel up The Old High Street, into Sandgate Road and then along The Leas.
This year, as a special addition, there will be an opportunity to hear music from four local bands, one of which will win the opportunity to go to Boulogne in October to perform in the fantastic national music festival, Poulpaphone.
