Fuller welcomes Drop Curb near Bus Station

Folkestone Lib Dem campaigner Gary Fuller has welcomed the installation of a drop curb at the junction of Middleburg Square and Bouverie Place, where many people cross from the Bus Station into Bouverie Road West.

Markings in preparation for carrying out the works have been in place since the summer but, as Gary pointed out when taking Kent County Councillor Roland Tolputt on a pothole tour of Harvey Central Ward (which they both represent), no action appeared to have been taken to complete the installation. Gary is extremely pleased that this is no longer the case.

Commenting, he said:

"This junction really needed a drop curb. It is used by a lot of people and cars tend to travel at what seems, to me, quite a speed towards it.

"Those with mobility issues or with young children in prams can struggle to cross safely but, hopefully, this will no longer be the case. I'm really pleased to see that action has finally been taken on this!"
