Series of assaults on women in Greatstone: Loseby urges residents to stay safe

Police patrols are being stepped up in Grand Parade, Greatstone on Romney Marsh after three attacks on women who were out alone on Friday night and early Saturday morning. One of them was a serious sexual assault, while the other two were physical attacks.
New Romney Coast Councillor Val Loseby has been speaking to the police following the attacks. A mobile police station has been set up nearby to reassure people and house-to-house inquiries have taken place. Val said:
"Whoever is responsible must be caught - fast.
"Until they are caught, the police are advising that people should not walk alone in the area at night, and to ensure they let others know of their whereabouts, including details of when they are likely to arrive at a particular place. "
