Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway confirms launch of new halt at Romney Warren

The official opening of the Romney Warren Halt serving the Romney Warren Visitor Centre has been announced, and will take place on Monday 16th February. The inaugural train for invited guests will depart at 11.00 hauled by "The Bug".

However as it is such a special occasion with the first opening of a new halt on the railway for over 60 years, visitors to the railway that day holding all day tickets will be given the opportunity to ride out to the new station from New Romney.

In addition a limited number of free tickets for specific Warren shuttle trains only will be available. Advance booking of those can be made by sending an email to Danny.Martin @rhdr.org indicating your home address, number of tickets requested and the train time preferred from 12.00, 1.00, 2.00 and 3.00.

The Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway is a 15" gauge main-line in miniature, built in 1927 and operating steam and diesel hauled trains between Hythe and Dungeness via Dymchurch, St. Mary's Bay, New Romney and Romney Sands stations.
