"Link Up Shepway" site launched

A new web site "Link Up Shepway" has been launched at http://shepway.ning.com/ and anyone across Shepway - Folkestone, Hythe, Romney Marsh and Elham Valley - are invited to join.

Site founder Caroline Chambers said:

"The idea is to create something LUSH - a mini-networking site - a bit like Facebook - but just for Shepway.

"It can do all sorts of things, share information, a central gathering place for Digital Mentors, promote business, publicize events, share photographs and videos - a central gathering of all things Folkestone, Hythe and Romney - so welcome!"

Shepway Councillor Tim Prater joined Link up Shepway on the first day. He said:

"Link Up Shepway could be a real boost to the Shepway area, giving local people and businesses the chance to interact, learn more about each other, exchange news, ideas, events and generally catch up! I'd advise anyone in the Shepway area to sign up - I have!"
