Folkestone Kwik Cricket Tournament

It is hard not to be influenced by the enthusiastic and excited young people waiting to begin the tournament, organised by Folkestone Town Council for Primary Schools across the town.

The Mayor opened the event by bowling the first ball (sadly a very wide ball!) and was accompanied by fellow Councillor Lynne Beaumont. Tom and Lynne spent some time watching the first games and mingled with the staff and supporters, affirming their contribution to such events.

Tom returned later to award prizes to the winning team and to congratulate all those who took part in such good spirit.
