Have YOUR Say Against a Shepway High-Level Nuclear Waste Dump today

Shepway Liberal Democrats have launched a petition to make it easier to insist Shepway Council end consideration of a hign-level nuclear waste storage facility on Romney Marsh.

All signatures on the petition on http://shep.lib.dm/nonucleardump will be handed into Shepway Council before the end of their consultation. The petition makes it easier to encourage others to sign against the new dump as well by offering Facebook, Twitter and email sharing.

You can also download a printable form from that page, so that neighbours, friends and family can sign too for returning to a FREEPOST return address.

Shepway Lib Dem Councillor Tim Prater says:

"By making this petition available online, we are helping to maximise the number of people who can sign. Our petition system makes it simple to share details of the petition online via Facebook and Twitter, and also offers a FREEPOST return address.

"I'm sure the Lib Dems are not the only group against this outrageous proposal. Already we've seen Folkestone and Hythe MP Damian Collins and Kent County Council Leader Paul Carter come out against the proposal - despite the consultation being started by Conservative Shepway Council! We'll happily work with any other group against these proposals - this petition we hope will increase participation in the consultation."
