Kent County Council's BME (Black and minority ethnic) Achievement Awards are being presented at Kent County Council offices in Maidstone, Sessions House, Lecture Theatre this Friday, 30th October from 2-3.15pm (coffee available from 1.30).

Six people will receive an award which will be presented by Cllr Kevin Lynes and Oliver Mills, Managing Director of Kent Adult Social Services. One of them is our very own Dhan Gurung (Liberal Democrat Folkestone Town Councillor for Cheriton) for his part in the Gurkha Justice Campaign.

Liberal Democrat County Councillor for Folkestone West and Chan's Cheriton ward colleague Tim Prater commented:

"I'm delighted for Dhan - this is a really well deserved award. I plan to be at the awards on Friday, and I'd be delighted for anyone else to come along and congratulate and support Dhan. There is no need to book / RSVP if you plan to make your own way, but drop me an email if you would like a lift!"
